Some will argue that pressure jets are just as loud, if not louder. And also that there is no steady flow of thrust, that they are pulse combusters just like a normal PJ, and that it is impossible to entrain enough air from the fuel flow to support combustion.
Probably the funniest thing I have read on here for a while

Viv, please explain. You can't just leave it at that. :)
I was hoping you or Luc would give a better description.
The last time I did that it started a small war;-) Luc and I have promised each other we will not get in to any technical discussions on here to start that off again.

Safe topics are hunting shooting and fishing (maybe cars and bikes as well:-)

Pulse jets, pressure jets and thrust stands are all firmly banned:-)

Ok, how much thrust do you get from a single-shot shotgun with full choke firing a 3" magnum 12 gauge shell?

Well ... A single shot generate between 8000 to 10000 psi. Now, devide this by .785 inch, which is the area of a shot gun shell, take in account the mass of the gun which is apprx. 8 lbs and the time the powder burns and you will get your answer.

But heyyy ... Ask Viv ... He NOSE ... He he he.

He shure learned what it does when you do a bad shoulder mount and put the stock on your nose shooting 3" magnum shells.

The result is a nice bleeding cut ... Hi hi hi ... That was funny.

Poor Little Viv.

But overall ... he is becoming a hell of a shot ... He is just learning the hard way.
