augmentor design

i want to know how to figure out how much air can be sucked through an augmentor of the same area as the exhaust pipe on an engine. obviously it will depend on the exhaust velocity but i still need to know, is there a ratio or formula i can use? is it just a percentage? how do i figure out the correct size for an augmentor for the largest amount of air to flow through?

the reason for asking is i want to know exactly how much air a ram jets exhaust can bring into its own intake for cyclic engine purposes if all the exhaust is used to suck more air in.... obviously this wont run as it caint keep sucking in more and more air with nowhere for it to go but back intot he intake but i want to know for simplicity purposes.
