To consider for a moment that these U-shaped babies would be used for rotary aircraft "tipjets," well to quote Vizzini ," is inconceivable!" Patenting something doesn't necessarily mean it has to be realistic. It would almost certainly be do-able (although how long the exhausts would last under centrifugal forces is questionable), but can you imagine the noise?
