"Replacement" for Gluhareff tipjet.

This idea is to find an "easy" replacement for the Gluhareff pressure jet engine as used on his helicopters.
Based on Mr. Cotrill's Lady Jane Grey valveless pulse jet, because it has the same thrust as the Gluey G-8-20 (20lbs of thrust) I turned the Lady Jane Grey "inside-out" and use the hollow center section to heat up the ram air.....in the hope to add some thrust.
I have no clue at all if such an "outside" pulse jet would even think about starting to work. Perhaps the whole idea is bonkers and the added drag might kill the possible advantages.
This engine would be used as a tip jet unit on a small helicopter.
