OK.
I don't want to get on your nerves by asking so many questions, so if it annoys you, please excuse me.
You wrote the hole diameter of your can was 9.5mm when it worked properly.
If it doesn't work with cool, dry air, I will have to enlarge the hole, right?

No worries,
Yes, i think your jar will likely require near a 9.5mm hole, but it needs to be opened gradually. Even good jars wont run in hot and humid environments. Mine work best near a air conditioner / cooler during the summertime.

I fooled with one for a couple hours yesterday and never got it to fire more than a second. Of course it was a smooth 100f here, not sure what the humidity was but it is usually quite high in SW MS.

Alright, it works!
I've tested it today and it worked!
The hole size is 9.1mm. Although it was pretty warm and even more humid than yesterday, it was running for about 10sec!
I think if I enlarge the hole it will run longer, but first I want to test it when it's cooler and less humid outside.
I also need to enhance the cooler, it's a can which is 10.5 cm high so 3.5 cm of the jar are still uncooled and become really hot
So, thank you very much Joe, you're my hero!
