Hello everyone on this great site

I am going to build a lockwood pulsejet.What i have noticed is that from all the engines i have seen,they are made from steel...
i am thinking of making one from pipes used for cars exhausts systems.(exept the cone and the U bend)
Do you think that they can stand the heat generated and how high the temperature gets more or less?
For a engine creating around 50lbs of thrust
