In short, "No". You'll want something that can fire a sparkplug, and that means high voltage (9v is not high voltage). If you plan on building a circuit for an automotive ignition coil. You will be much happier with a 12 Volt DC system.tufty wrote:In short, "No". tufty, is most definitely right you can not get a spark from that circuit!
However, you can use an Electronic Grill Igniter. They generally run on 1-AA battery or 1-AAA battery. You won't be real happy with the battery life thought.
