Ok,I make flares onto the intakes like they are on the plan & also I make new longer injectors.I tried from 50mm to 130 mm into the intakes. All is just the same like before.
1 full propane tank is empty right now and 1 started the second one.

In my garage is it about 15°/C , thats not cold. For a test I tried again my Chinese 25 pounder and he started very fast, and running good.
Maybe there is a problem that I looking over. Here some pics and a movie.

do not put the injectors so deep. try 70/80mm in. Try to tone down the air imput. The pops and bangs sound good, getting there!

also try to get one hand on the gas controll and one on your airgun. try a fairly low gas setting first, keep the air gun a bir futher from the intake. Do this until you get a rumble then slowly increase gas flow and move the airgun closer to the intake. don't be shy with the gas

Aplause,She is running.Ok,what I tried to do.....I closed 1 intake and 1 injector. So I tried with 1intake.After a few seconds she runs.So hard that she almost gone in my garage.Ok,there is no grip onto that floor, but she's gives more power than my 25pounds Chinese.

But,when she goes very hot=flaming out. What to do now with the intakes, because there is the problem.I'am very happy now.  .

Sorry, but I can not make a movie right now, because the camera have a harddisk & he shut dow'n every time because there are very big shockwave's.
When the weather will be better,I go to a location somewhere else outdoors & make a movie from it.

Now let the specialists think about the design of the intakes.

IT RUNS! good shit!

The intakes are tuned to the very mm so they should be fine. Try this: Block one intake with a wet rag wrapped around a stick. Start the engine and throttle it to, say, 50%. Then remove the stick and rag. It should continue to run HARD!
Oh yeah, only block the intake, let the injector running

GIVE US A VIDEO! :P

*edit* once you get the engine running on 2 intakes you can tweak the injector position until you find the "sweet spot" if you find this spot, you'll be able to push the engine even further

*edit 2* You DID redo the tailpipe for a diameter of 150mm right and NOT 162?

Thanks Viv for that compliment.

Metiz, the tailpipe is 150mm.Also I will try what you tell about blocking 1 intake.

Ow YES....The sound is really LOUD.....Not just loud,But EXTREMELY LOUD.The 25 chinese is loud, but have a low BASS sound.
The M40 is more like a F16 who's goes to take off.
But so far I'am happy now & I'am already cutting some rest material to build & small Lockwood from the CD of Eric Beck.I have just enouh rvs sheet.

Ah yes. The beautiful sound of a pulse-jet engine. Got to love it :D

A small correction: this is actually a chinese engine, not a thermojet. potato, tomato, whatever.

Hey Barry , :D CONGRATULATIONS :D , and well done , really good to hear you got her running ,

I am certain she will run just fine on both intakes , its just a case of finding the right combination of injectors/ injector position , as Metiz says ,

Please do get some video when you can , I do realise its winter where you are , and outdoors testing is a big problem ,

Take your time and get a couple of gas cylinders connected in paralell with a "T" or "Y" fitting , You will need some high fuel flow to get her up to max power ,

Nice movie Grim.It is very simple to make injectors like you did. When I have again tubing,I make those. How much mm is the drill that you used there??
