Thrust readings for the old Micro Mini Pulse Jet
I had guessed .500 to 1 oz. I finally got around to borrowing a weight scale from an automotive painter friend and rigging my PJ to it. As you can see this particular run I had sealing issues. This caused the readings to go down. A good solid max reading was (.353oz)10.1g and the lowest was (.303oz)8.6g. I'm sure I could get 15g to 12g with proper sealing.

Those tiny engines are awesome! you should make keychains from them. Great conversation starter:"wahts that?" a jet engine "no way!"
btw, what kind of a scale are you using?

"No way dude!! A jet!" LOL! It's a Sartorius. It was an older scale a friend let me use. He had a better newer one but he heard the word fire and with one eye brow raised proceeded to get me his old scale. Here is a beter running in a vice. A much longer run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwPiQLGrFCUmetiz wrote:Those tiny engines are awesome! you should make keychains from them. I should clarify: that is just wonderful to watch and a nice piece of work!! That high pitch always gets me smiling. It wasn't that long ago that enthusiast built pj's this small were considered impossible!Mike Everman wrote:!!!!!!!!
