Hello Mitchell

your engine isn't running, it's just growling. I seriously doubt that you will get it to sustain even on idle and forced air with a combustion chamber that small. it is just not getting enough compression.

Hey my name is brad. I have built a few small valveless pulse jet engines to practice for my first big one. I have the majority of the engine built but haven't decided if I want to go "valved" or "valveless". My question is, what produces more power? If you could help me out that would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I you have most of the engine build then you don't have much choise. depending on design it's either valved or valveless. do you have some dimensions?

Considering the heat production of running PG, was somebody trying to inject water in order to raise thrust? Is it applicable in this type of engine?

Ok. The answer is yes, they did PJ with water injection and it raises more questions. Is there significant performance raise? What are pros and contras of water injection? Can be water injection continuous or only a short bust and engine cools down?

I'm planning to use a liquid fuel(most probably kerosene...) for my chinese valveless pulsejet. Is this a good choice? what are the safety precautions to be followed while using a liquid fuel?

P.S: propane is not available in my place,L.P.G is the only available gaseous fuel.

Liquid fuels scare me because they stick and burn. I suggest gloves, glasses, hat, ear protection of course, and long sleeve cotton shirt that you can strip off in a hurry. You may never have a problem, but please treat the danger with utmost respect.

Thanks for the reply mike.I have one more query. Is there a chance of fire getting into the L.P.G tank? do you guys employ any safety valves to prevent this from happening?

No that cannot happen. There is no oxygen in the tank. The greatest danger is accumulation of propane around you in still air. Always experiment outside.
