Hello,
I've build a FWE pulsejet but unfortunately we've failed to start it. I've placed a movie on youtube.com http://youtu.be/ImGQRF-tHJM
The buildingplan said the fuel injector should be 1/8'' inside diameter. I've read abouth the rossco injector, is that also suitable for a FWE? Our measurements aren't exactly the same as the building plans said. Does anyone know what we do wrong.

What happend to your intake? it's conial. Is this the advanced 3lb fwe? if it is, then that's not supposed to be on there. You also want to center the fuel line

Yes, it does not look right, but is making the right noises and might run. Read the following and keep trying. You might just have the fuel stinger in the right place, but it will never work if you do not have your hand on the fuel valve and on the air and keep it growling for a while to warm it up. That valve may not have enough flow for the fuel. Use just the tank valve.

Todays improvements, we've placed the propane in a bucket with water. It does something but still doesn't work without compressed air. http://youtu.be/Z5A_1Es4RKA
We've been trying to build the free FWE plan from beck-technologies.com.

You are close. Move the air gun AWAY along the center of the intake until it is on it's own. You are moving it away to the side. Looks like you have enough fuel. Does the intake protrude inside the combustion chamber, like in Larrry's drawing? It should not, if so.

We've tried to pull the air away as you said, but still doesn't work on his own. the intake doesn't protude in the cumbustion chamber. It leaks a tiny bit of air at the sparkplug hole. Can this be the problem?
thx for reactions

Considering you didn't build it according to plan, that MIGHT be the problem. You want a leakfree engine to give it the best chance of running

If you do not follow a plan of a known to run engine, it is very difficult to help you.

can you post the engine's build specs? we might be able to figure out a way to get it running.

The engine's design is based on the fwe pulsejet from Beck-technologies. The total length of the engine is 62.5 centimeters. The conical part is 19 centimeters long and 5.5 centimeters wide. We have used 2 pipes for the exaust and the intake. The intakepipe is 2.3 centimeter inside diameter and the exaustpipe is 3.0 centimeter inside diameter. The intake is 7.5 centimeters long on its longest point. The short intaketube is 3 cm long on its longest point.

... but you did not follow the plan on the MOST important element, the intake. This needs to be replaced according to plan.

Hello

I have made my FWE pulsejet but I cant get it running. I am running the pulsejet on gasoline. We have put a hairdryer next to the pulsejet, so the gasoline better vaporize (it was a cold day). We have made a movie about this test run: http://youtu.be/2wuxCVPjmOM?hd=1
Someone maybe know what we are doing wrong? Do we need more or less fuel maybe?
