Thanks to Larry Cottril, who has a "simple design method" , which I found while surfing for info on pulsejets. Although I built an "inline combustor"?, the simple design method proved to be very helpful. Even though my chamber pipe and tailpipe were specific diameters that did not quite match the recommended ratios, I still thought that using this simple design method may be my best bet.

I would like to thank M, for responding to several PM's, concerning this particular build. I realize that he is busy with another Thunderchine build. By the time that he was able to respond though, I had already built the engine. :oops:

~60 degrees outside and 40 psig, in a 1/4 full BBQ-sized bottle, did little to help with first starting attempts! Stuck the bottle in a large plastic tote and bottle pressure pegged a 160psi gauge... Gotta be more careful, as the water was about 110 degrees.

It runs OK and I should be happy that it ran, at all. Sad though, that the engine isn't nearly as "obnoxious", as I wanted it to be. Not getting the nozzle diameter correct, didn't help matters either.
It ran, but only between 40-80psig fuel line pressure. - Bad throttle range and response.

As an aside;
One thing I did notice, was that when using mild steel for an engine; If you clean all dirt/rust/oil off of the engine and then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, prior to start-up, the engine will not discolor/flake. - Of course, please remember to wait until all the alcohol evaporates, if any of you decide to try this. I forgot to clean this one, which may be why it now look so filthy?
