You were to add oxygen to your propane fuel when you feed it into the pulse jet?

Would it increase in efficiency or blow up?

My guess is that something would melt.

You could try using Nitrous Oxide in stead of straight O2
Standard rev-head technology

So lets say I found the correct ration of propane to oxygen, then theoretically couldn't this engine work in a zero atmosphere environment such as space? The gases inside would obviously burn a lot hotter because of the oxygen, probably hot enough to melt the engine. So is there any technology out there such as water cooling systems for pulse jets? I mean whats the point of having all of that heat if all you want is thrust?

Try injecting some water as well internally. The heat should turn it to steam
improving the volumetric change and cooling the engine a little.

Look up "chemical intercooling" in rev-head space.
They injecta mix of methanol and water.

You wouldn't need an air intake then, so the entire engine design would change to become a rocket, rather than a jet.

so I know that they have solid fuel and liquid fuel rockets, but I have never heard of a rocket that uses vaporous gasses. does such a thing even exist or did I just invent a new rocket?

Sorry, but anything space-going uses hydrogen oxygen mix as a rocket - e.g. Saturn 5, Shuttle, etc.
