Swedens largest newspaper seems to think that we should be on the front page on their webpage, we have turned down several newspapers and tv-shows since we haven´t any time to spend on such nonsense only a few days before the race.

Haha the heavy metal soundtrack realy ads to the whole thing doesn't it :)

Are you entering with 3 kicks, pulse-jet, rocket and turbine?
You're realy commited turning down those media. Don't be suprised if you show up in the newspapers AFTER the whole event anyway

We are not interested in too much media coverage, it would be great to have an article in a porno mag but other that that, nah..

Thanks a lot, we are heading out any moment now to load the truck.

You can follow our race progress at our blog, http://mobackenracing.se, even though it is in Swedish there will be lots of pics from the event. :D

Yup, really tired but we´ve had loads of fun. :D

I ran the pulsejet kick on thursday night after some sorting out of the fuel system, it ran great but bent from the heat and a badly designed engine mount. I couldn´t quite repair the folding and couldn´t get it to run after that. At least I rattled the windows of the hotel one kilometer away with it...

A summary of the testing we did on thursday, the engine runs hard in the end of the clip.

Did you manage to get that lockwood kick running in the end?

The ice yacht engine didn´t even resonate during the start attempts, crappy welds might be a reason for it.

I don't know who made that engine but if he does manage to get it running it might be a good idea to put a plate or something like that under the tailpipe exhaust. as it is now it will blow exhaust gasses straight into the intake breathing zone.

Tbh, I don't think an engine as big as that will not run at all due to crappy welding. I've got smaller engines then that with "shittier" (trust me) welds running just fine.

At any rate, looks like you had some good fun there, bigger engines next year!

Don´t know why it wouldn´t run, perhaps more tweaking time would have fixed the problem but there was no time left for that at the race.

As it looks now we won´t race any valveless engines next year, the noice is one reason. The race is held on a lake in a recreational area in the mountains and the locals don´t really appreciate the sweet sound of a 100lbs pulsejet...

Too bad the engine bent, looked like considerable effort in trying to repair it.
hope there is better luck in next years event, and hopefully a smoother track!
