Is SS 304 resistant enough to make a continuous - flying pulsejet? Tungsten melts at 3400C

In a word yes.
Tungsten is far to heavy and hard to work to be of much use as the main material of a Pulse jet.
304 is probably not the best, but it is also not the worst.

I always build my STATIC engines out of either .5 or 1mm 304. the longest one has run is easily half an hour and it shows no signs of breaking up. go for it.
