spare parts, ideas?

Post by pablo » Tue Dec 04, 2007 12:51 am

it's been a while since i last played with pjets, but i found a nice cone at the uni's workshop and i thought it'd make a nice pjet. it's 23 cm (lenght), D=11 cm, d=5 cm
the most suitable tube i could find for it is 5,5 cm

i tried scalling linearly an advance FWE (the old, simple version) but i found out that the cone should be 29 cm.
if i recall right when scalling, the lenght stretched less than the diam, but i don't remember the forumalae/steps. so help is welcomed

or maybe adding a cilindrical section to the CC to make it longer?

anyway, the teacher in charge of the workshop wants to do things "the right way", so we'll be measuring SFC, etc. and i'll be happy to upload the results if the pjet works.

thanks

Pablo

Please take Larrys concept as a basis....and it works well for conical CC's...I have found that if you deal with different CC configurations the figures / formulas change.... So if you use Larrys formula there will be a running unit at the end of the day.
