Thanks M. for starting this new thread the old one was getting a little of my topic. anyways i have a track meet today and won't get home till midnight so i won't have time to make the corrections until tommorow.
plus i am starting to run low on stainless and may have to wait till saturday to get some so i mght try brunos ideas of squashing the tube until i get more stainless.

Hope to get it running by Saturday then i will experiment with all kinds of fuel placements to see which will work the best.

Recalculation

Post by mk » Fri Mar 19, 2004 11:41 pm

Hello Milisavljevic and NanoSoft (and all others, too, of course).

I hope building or rather finishing the corrected sp-14 soon, but in a bend version.
I've thinking about liquid fuel injection a lot, but there always appeared another problem at every method I wanted to build. So I'm very interested in this project of NanoSoft and which kind of fuel injector will work (best).

----------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a drawing of an engine I calculated with my caculation program (based on the original Lockwood patent).
The orange shows the glowing, which appears after 30 sec or so, running on propane. At temperatures of at least 10°C the engine starts immediately with the "blowing the flame into the cc" method. The critical point is propane regulation. The engine needs just ~1/2 turn to overfuel and runs best at about 3/8 turn open main valve of the propane bottle.
I just want to ask you Milisavljevic, whether you could check/ recalculate the engine dimensions with your formulas?

SNIP! If you are interested, I can post more performance data (e.g., resonance frequency, etc.) tomorrow.

Best regards,

Marten's not the only interested one! I will be outside today, listening carefully, though there is a smallish mountain or two between me and the QD-80 tests, I might hear something! Good luck with the tests, boys! ;-P

general question

Post by mk » Fri Mar 26, 2004 7:57 pm

Hello!

Can somebody tell me if valveless pulsejets (especially Lockwood types) are reacting snsible onto parts/ things in the intake nozzle and CC flare section?

I have some plans for better injectors (rough) in mind.
An answer would help me very much befor doing s.th. without any expection of success.

Marten,
"are reacting snsible onto parts/ things in the intake "
what does this mean?

Things in the intake

Post by Al Belli » Sat Mar 27, 2004 12:01 am

I think He was asking if the PJ is sensitive to having
something placed in the intake tract; like a small tube or nozzle.
How is the operation of the PJ changed or disturbed?

I have been very tired yesterday, so forget about my English...

However, Al Belli understood me...
Look at the new theme I started to read more about.
