Lockwood calculation program

Post by mk » Wed Jan 21, 2004 7:55 pm

hello.

besides none of my 2 lockwoods wants to run (propane injection problems, i'm sure now and i'm looking forward working on it this weekend; resonace must be ok), i wrote a little program.
it calculates the lenghts and diameters of the parts of your planned lockwood. just one measurement is needed.

the equations are based on the patent.

of course the program is FREEWARE and available in english and german, too. (email me for german version)

it's in DOS mode, but works without problems on XP.

so if somebody likes to test it, just download it from this site.
if you want to criticize s.th. after testing, just let me know over this forum or per email.

hoping for some interest

Version 2.0

Version 1.1 produces some little calculation mistakes. So here is version 2.0, without them, of course.

You can download the German and the English version now (-> attachements).

Well, my first calculated and built engine runs really good, it's a small one by the way. Propane vaporization was the problem (-> topic of this forum part).

Good job! Your program runs well, nice if you have one of the elements in stock. My tool is in Excel, and I'd have to run "goal seek", for the same result. Also works well, but is based on the Kentfield test hardware of a Lockwood and Four-pipe, with no taper to the CC.

Again, nice work!

Thanks!

Mike, could you give or rather post me your program, too?
