EDK0301B Engine
Here are some images of my new valveless motor. As you can see it is
brand new, still "in the box".
It is all 22 and 24 ga SS, mostly spot welded except intake stem
and front lid, 74 mm diameter, intake length is adjustable.

Ed,
That is beautiful. I can't wait to hear about your test runs.

Yes, that is a beautiful job. Of course, I especially like that fact that it doesn't use a fancy transition cone from the intake into the chamber.
Good luck - I'm betting that will run as great as it looks!

Have you started your mega-Chinese since the meet, or patched any of the holes?
all holes are patched up, but I am setting that unit apart for liquid fuel
testing. This new one has to be tested first on propane and new CM6
plugs and new ignitor. Have to order parts yet.

Truly wonder-bar, Ed! Because of you and Mikhail, my next motor will be a Chinese, too!

HI all !
Enclosed are three images of this engine improved from its original.
Combustion chamber had do be extended, Intake pipe shortened
and opening to CC enlarged, angle of intake entry decreased.
Reason for these : Engine needed forced air to sustain full "RPM".
After such changes : No problem with air, Easy start, Instant revup
and 8.1 lbs of thrust.
It blows away anything in a way of tail megaphone. Very powerfull !

Ed, that's beautiful work. Was the 8.1 lb right before rich extinction? And how does the length of this one compare with the 66mm dia motor?
I'm hoping you have a sound file, over-all length and intake length to report at some point...

Yes , 8.1 lbs was right before choking.
One think is quite important - the ambient temperature.
It was done on quite cool night few weeks ago.
Now, at the blasting heat in Phoenix, I can get out of it merely 5.9 lbs.
Now I know, ambient temp makes a huge difference !
This motor is longer than 66mm, total 886mm.
Well I have now three different engines in great running conditions, they
are all stainless steel, they will last for a while.
Also I kepp files, cones parer patterns, everything is documented.
( Old 66mm no longer exists , built completely new front end for it of
a smaller diameter )

Unfortunately I am not ready to give out any detailed dimensions
at this time. I am in process of experimenting more, so these
engines are still working test beds.

Well, I noticed it for my (non-Chinesy) engines, too, that glowing areas start at and extend later on up from joining sections. Merely in downstream direction first.steve wrote:Interesting heat pattern, care to comment on that?
