Dear Steve.
Sorry missed your post. No we have not considered it and I don't know what it would do to the Thrust. I made a quick change to the model and bearing in mind I have not spent too much time with it, the motor would have to be a lot longer to get it back in tune.

Nick, can you mail me at Lattice@dodo.com.au pls so I can be sure I get the right addy for you.
Also, Graham, are you still at the same aol addy?

I have been trying to comprehend Uflow lately and was wondering if the test scenarios you sent previous are typical of results I should expect or is each case different? Try as I might I find it a very heavy program to understand, but then, Ive always been a bit slow.

Wow, nice one Nick.

I particularily like the HAZ moving out towards the ends in the first video. I'd like to see that vid in higher res actually.

Cheers,

Wilson.
Dear Wilson.
What is the HAZ ?
Its a welding term. Heat Affected Zone. Basically the bit of steel that remains blue after you heat it.

Cheers,

Wilson. (better late than never!)

A short 1D sample analysis of this Type07 FWE motor and the required Rev03 of the C.dat Viewer are available for download:

http://www.albionjets.speechrecordings. ... nload.html

Instructions:
Create a directory C:\NUDiS
Download and unpack both the above into the directory C:\NUDiS
With the NUDIS directory open on your desktop double click C.dat viewer.xls to open and run it.
You must have macros set-up in Excel.
Click the INPUT ALL button on the 'start here' sheet.
After an initial load up.
Answer No to saving the large amount of data.
Some more loading then
Answer No to recalculating the Mass flow, Density and MaxMin values.
After a short time you should now be looking at a sheet called G.
You can move the graphs about the page. The slider on the left will advance time.
The next sheet is the G temporal sheet.

Have fun
Graham.
