Looking for plans? Look here.

Admin Edit:
Most of the links below reference "phpbb2" in the address. You will be able to get to the right place if you change phpbb2 to phpbb3. The main site plan links are down. We're working on that, as of 6-2-2008.
Regards,
Mike

As we have many people come here and ask for plans for the engines, I thought I would make it clear that many of the plans that exist can be accessed Here, the main page of this website. Other sources include within the forums of the engine type you seek. For example, search in the Jet Engine forum for plans of the KJ-66 engine, or seach in the Valveless forum for plans like the Short Lady, that aren't on the front page. Also, contact GLC Inc., Run by two of our members, Viv and Luc, for high quality plans and kits of certain engines, with more to choose from as time goes on. Hope this helps.

Tom

If anyone else wishes to add to this, either reply or send me a PM and I will edit in as soon as I can.

Search the pages of the following topics to find dimension drawings and fuel injector shape and placement tests to my K-PT engine series.

http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=780

Note to fuel injectors: It has been experieenced that way simpler injectors do a better job then the tricky "swizzle stick" designs -- the "fuel stinger" designs. See FWE topics or so for more information about.

"Nanosoft's" Lockwood-Hiller patent engine and the SP-14 derivative engine.

A big Lockwood-Hiller engine.

The Chinese engine dimension drawing can be found via the pulse-jets.com main site.

Note to fuel injecion: They should also be used the "fuel stinger" injector type, just as the Chinesy FWE/Elektra uses.

Enjoy.

COTTRILL VALVELESS PULSEJET DESIGNS

Here are recent designs of mine that are either known to run or are closely based on successful earlier designs. I do not usually draw highly detailed plans, and all drawings are published either as part of Web sites specific to a design or posted here on the Valveless Pulsejets Forum. These are listed in order from oldest to most recent.

Where I indicate 'DJ dimensions', it means that the overall engine size is practically identical to the standard Dynajet valved engine: 21 inches head-to-tail, 1.25 inch tailpipe diameter and 2.5 inches max. engine diameter.

Valveless Pulsejets Built and Run

Reynstodyne Elektra I 'Five Dollar Pulsejet' - good running, low cost and easy to build, but rather long and not very powerful -
Construction site page: http://www.cottrillcyclodyne.com/ElektraI/ElektraI.html

First Run Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=622

Reynstodyne Elektra II 'Five Dollar Pulsejet' - improved version, somewhat harder to build, somewhat more compact and more powerful -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=856
First Run Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1102

Reynstodyne Fo Mi Chin Prototype - the original shaving cream can pulsejet - ran well but very difficult to build and 1.2 metres long - listed mostly for historical interest -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=637
First Run Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1540

Reynstodyne Fokus 'Short Lady' - the classic Focused Wave Valveless Pulsejet Engine (FWE) - easy starting, good running, fairly powerful, fairly easy to build, compact size and good looking, too - independently built and tested by several people with differing skill levels -

First Run Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1004

Reynstodyne Fo Mi Chin Type II - also very hard to build but proved to be a good-running engine and much more compact than the original Fo Mi Chin prototype - features unique quasi-concentric intake to minimize engine cross section profile and reduce the engine to DJ dimensions -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1767
First Run Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1848

Untested Designs Based on Successful Engines

Reynstodyne Fokus FWE 'Sveldt Lady' - the successful Fo Mi Chin II style in-line intake applied to the classic FWE planform, but shortened slightly to DJ dimensions -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1895

Reynstodyne FMC II - very precise adaptation of the Fo Mi Chin Type II in an easy-to-build format, eliminating the paper thin and troublesome pressure can, but requires rolling chamber cylinder and cones - should run exactly like the Fo Mi Chin II, with DJ dimensions -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2099

Reynstodyne Fokus FWE IV 'Smooth Lady' - the easiest-to-build form of the FWE design - no bent intake, no split shell intake like the FMC II and Sveldt Lady - very simple construction and should run just like the classic Short Lady - DJ dimensions -
Original Post: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2146

Ten Dollar Jet Engines Web Log:
http://tendollarjets.blogspot.com

Plans and/or other helpful engine construction information are featured in all these locations, though in some cases you will need to scroll down through the posts to get the whole picture. There are also many construction photos, some scaled patterns for the cone sheets, etc.

Enjoy!

FWEVIII REV06

Perhaps only for the advanced builder but a nice sport motor with some real thrust.

This is as good a place as any for now. I will be making a thread that has only our recommended plans. Nice to see the loudmouth plan, I always wanted to see the inside of one of those. Thanks!

One of the better designs for a beginner, or for someone who cannot weld and has a muffler shop nearby:
