Identifying my engines

Post by ama1437 » Wed Feb 04, 2015 1:09 am

I have four pulsejet engines. I already know one of them is an OS Jet II and one is a new HK. I wonder if anyone here might be able to help me identify the other two?

Here's one.

I have lots more pictures, including both totally disassembled if that would help. I didn't want to overload your system with a bunch of data if it wasn't necessary.

Thanks,

Scott

The top one looks like a Doyle pulsejet but maybe others used that head design. I think Doyle lived in Texas but don't quote me.

Wow, thanks! I was sure I clicked on the place where I get notified if someone replies to my post.... but I guess not. I'll be sure to have it clicked this time.

Thanks to both of you. Looks like you are probably right about the Doyle. Thanks!

And I now see that I posted the wrong picture. The red one is indeed an OS type II. Says so right inside the engine.

I meant to post this picture as the second engine. The green one.

The top one is, indeed, a Doylejet Sport and the bottom appears to be an OSII in a Dyna-Jet pipe assembly. The key identifier is the weld bead.
Louder is always better.
