Locky Kazoo Valved Engine

Hello all,

I do not have a weld machine so started solve my problem of having a working pulsejet anyway.
Can crush, drill and cut metal...

I thinking of using the locky kazoo style (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=262&st=0&sk=t&sd=a) to make a valved engine.
Using a 4´or 2´eletrical steel tube

a strait entry and CC, than the crushing of the output cone, or strait crushed tube.

for the valve front use a plate of 5mm/10mm steel, this i can cut and drill the holes.
and use a petal valve. (petal valves will be a little dificult to make, i can etch or something)
To fix the front plate i dont have a concrete idea, drill some holes in the tube and lock it to position. use a strong steel Hose clamp to crush and lock it or something else.

For the dimensions, i look for something easy to start, someone can say a good CC and exit cone combination?

Locky Kazoo valved engine? The name sounds new to me. Either way, the dimensions and the material that you have used here should definitely do the job of crushing, drilling and cutting the metal without much of an issue thereby proving as an effective replacement for the lack of a weld machine.

In reality the name needed to be Kazoo Valved Engine.
The locky is for lockwood engine, I read that topic a good time ago. And didn't think very right when writing the topic.

I´m using a 2´ light electrical conduit. use a piece of wood to limit how much i can crush, and hammer the thing down.
Not realy good, and tend to deform the C.C. too much.

But I think it will work.
The header is the problematic part.
Thinking in doing the venturi crushed too.

it is much better running a valved in LGP for the start?

I used shaft collars to enforce the tube diameter where I wanted it to remain round. Kazoo is just the nickname (from Mike Kirney) for smashing the pipe instead of making cones. My first PJ was made this way and ran. It was called Locky Kazoo, because I took all of the dimensions of the lockwood, scaled them, and converted to smashed geometry.
