Tryed too start my pulsejet too day, but i did get nothing but big flames coming out of the tailpipe and on occasions some dull bangs.
I suspect the compressor i was using did not deliver enough air pressure and volume.
I altso did have big problems with the spark plug, due to a missing capacitator in my ignition circuit.
Any suggestions?
My 35 kg trust pulsejet

I have found the location of the sparkplug to be critical sometimes due to variations in fuel/air mixing at different points in the engine.
Now i use "sparkprobes" when testing and it makes it very easy to find the right place for the sparkplug.
However, none of my probes have survived for any lengths of time so its best to just use some heavy stainless weldingrod and cheramic tubes (rachig-rings) to raise it from the electrical ground (enginetube).
If it's the cap across the breakers (If using relay based ign.) a glassplate or jar with both sides covered in Al-foil will do fine.
