Hi,

I have seen stainless steel pulse jet engines become useless due to high temperature corrosion. What is the exact metal alloy to be used while building the combustion chamber and the following pipe in a pulse jet engine? :?:

304 or 321 stainless steel is common for the main CC and tail sections. Running close to the ground, or at a stand still can degrade even stainless. If there is a problem occuring with adequate air flow, then the design may be at fault.
