My 35 kg trust pulsejet

Post by haaken » Sat May 01, 2004 8:23 pm

My 35 kg trust pulsejet is very soon ready for test start.
The only remaining things are to veld the fuel injector in place, and fabricate a high voltage source.

The first test run will be on propane, and diesel will follow.
If anyone are interested i can post pictures

Tryed too start my pulsejet too day, but i did get nothing but big flames coming out of the tailpipe and on occasions some dull bangs.

Any suggestions?

how did you bend the metal for the cone (or taper). I had very big problems to bend it (it actually failes). PS, how thick is the material?

Haaken,

how high is the pressure of the starting air? Can you post a picture from the complete teststand and engine? This might be usefull for other forummembers to give advise. There are more people here who started with those yellow flames. :-)

Pieter.
