Forrest! that is not funny at all how Kirchoff's theorem has come back to haunt me after all these years away from a electronics test shop, have to start working now and pull out an old text from collage and my lecture notes :-)

Love the break down and definitions though, strongly recommend any one who has trouble to study that first, pay attention to the comments regarding pressure and its results

Thanks. "Connected ?" Yes, but our dfr is somewhat constant, whereas that of his device varies over a wide range.

hello webpilot,
Do you have a report in PDF? The info you have here is very interesting but at the same time its overwhelming and i am trying to put it all together. I am guessing you are a mechanical engineer, on a masters level? I am seeing some similar stuff to what i did at school like the frequency ratio, the natural freqeuncy and modes of vibration. You also have some structural mechanics like bending moments etc. Its similar to me and i did a study but i did not incorporate any sytstems controls with transfer functions etc.
I get what you're doing but its a lot to swallow, a report would give me a good idea, all i did in mine was obtain an optimal life span for an optimal thickness, your frequency analysis would of helped me in determining the freq. of the valves.

About your finite element analysis, why not just use solid works ?

Thanks. Do not feel bad. It took me weeks to perfect the technique.

No reason. I write a lot of my own code, or use programs which I have the source code.

Why? So I can modify them to suit my own needs. If their generated solutions pass certain benchmark tests, then I can safely assume the code is working properly. It certainly helps to verify the code with experimental data when possible.

See Grim's External Valve Grid where he used my theory to virtually eliminate valve damage in his innovative engine!

IOW, he experimentally confirmed my mathematical theory; no brag ... just fact.
