I suppose the long intake stores momentum which might be needed to knock all the water out of the way. I was shutting off my gas to my house a year ago and was warned not to turn in off suddenly or turn it on suddenly was it? Anyway, because you have so much mass in a long line, you can set up a hefty pressure wave if you aren't careful. Maybe the anology is like trying to stop a train suddenly.haaken wrote:Axt wrote:Moving water is FAR more effective then moving air right, therefore I propose that if one was to put the exhaust underwater it would create a seriously powerful outboard motor.
Notify the unusual lenght of the ram air intake.
