Hi All,
I take it you've all seen the vids by Robert Maddox on You Tube.
I have been looking for some more info on this guy and his jets. I imagined that he'd have a web site but I haven't found one.
Cheers,
Wilson.

Re: Robert Maddox
Hi Wilson! How's it shaking?
After I saw that show car, I thought wow, wonder if that guy is one of our anonymous users... but I doubt it. Sure makes a big motor, though.

Re: Robert Maddox
Hi Mike,
Well, I've totally changed jobs. I was an IT consultant and now I make pipeline inspection cameras in a small industrial unit. Not as profitable as the old job but way more satisfying.
This jet of Mr. Maddox's has intrigued me. As you may remember I started down the path of a Solarjet type PJ some years ago. I got as far as casting the valve holders but got kinda stuck on how to make the valves. I was trying to figure it out from the Solarjet pics that guy posted (the one that put the jet in the Beetle). Of course his valves were burned and it was kind of hard to make out how they should have looked originally.
So, when I get a spare moment, maybe I'll go back to it.
Cheers,
Wilson.

Hi Wilson,
Hardware instead of software now? Cool. I hope you pick that project up again.

Re: Robert Maddox
Hi Mike,
I am currently working on a set of 4 inch valve holders suitable for a 6 inch diam pulse jet. In the picture you can see my first cast valve holder which is about 9" and is for a 12" engine.
One of my friends has offered the use of a programmable turret press so I may try and make these valve holders from 2mm stainless and suitable square bar for the ends.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted.
Cheers,
Wilson.
