I wasn't quite sure in which forum to post this (Hint, hint Kenneth - can we please have an off-topic forum again?), but here goes.

For a great source of various science books, check out The National Academies Press, which was created by the National Academies to publish the reports issued by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the National Research Council.
They have more than 2,500 free, searchable, high quality science books online, undoubtedly also some relevant to our field of interest.
