re: My plane is almost ready!!
I've done some shopping around and the only fuel pumps i can find run off 12V most only 30psi. Its not a major issue, though 8.4 V or so would be much easier with my current battery arrangement. Perhaps you could tell me the brand of your fuel pump, and I assume your running it off a normal 50amp or so speed controller? I have an E-sky 50 amp speed controller along with a range of Lipo 300/600 speed controllers, or did you make your own to controll current to drive the pump? If i'm in the ball park, please let me know. I've recently had an idea of windscreen washer pump... havent seen on yet as my "Corrolla" or should I say "Deathtrap" doesn't actually have one (EEK), but will take a look at my neighbours shortly.

re: My plane is almost ready!!
you could try a pressurised fuel tank you can do this with a c02 gas bulb and regulator this is very light and reliable and once the fuel runs out the c02 passes through the engine extingushing any flame left because in rc planes weight is always a concern
i am a keen rc flyer and plan for my own pulsejet plane and plane to fuel it this way

You could try mixing some ether in as fuel, I even have given engines a spritz of engine starting fluid when its extremely cold. Are you using methanol?
Also another option would be to make a quick remove propane injector that just sprays fuel into the intake until the engine is started. I have started even tiny engines on propane in temperatures down to -8 F. Though at those temperatures I wouldnt want to do any flying.
Hope you get a nice warm spell soon and can fly!
