Francisco,

I have a professionally-built Craftjet and, though I've never run it, it makes use of the upper style of injector. As you probably know, the lower drawing shows a simpler system but includes the entire valve head while the upper shows only the injector assembly.

If I were making one, I'd try the simpler design first. However, both systems are a little difficult to start unless the operator is familiar with them. The original design by Hiram Sibley included a starting fixture that was inserted into the Craftjet intake but may not have worked much better than a simple blast of air.

I'd like to make a helpful suggestion: Once your Craftjet is completed and assembled, start-up will be easier, probably, if the reed valve is not quite flat after installation. If it stands open a few thousandths inch (is curved a tiny amount,) starting is easier and exact fuel flow is less sensitive.

I would use methanol for fuel.

I was never able to get mine running on liquid fuel, but it ran great on acetylene directly injected into the combustion chamber.

hey what version of Solidworks are you running? that looks like some nice work.
you should post an e-drawing if possible

Acetylene is cheating, just look at the rich/lean ratio you have to be careful to fall into the range of flammability. ha ha

hello, thanks to all for their answers, I use solid works 2005, I have the following models drawn in solid works :

alpha
atom
dynajet
pulse 1
bms
craftjet
some but. .
I will try to fix some and-drawing

steve, do you have a post having fixed here on the craftjet, do I carry out some modification to the original planes?

first I will build the pulse and the nozzle, then I will prove with the injector but easy, it is that of the part of below.

all agree with this???

I made mine with the more difficult needle valve and it turned out great. starts easily on propane and then I switch it over to meth. if you search under author Juki48 you will find the the posts under "plan #17 craft plane" I believe.
