Pulsojato Caipira!

Post by Almeida » Sat May 21, 2005 10:42 pm

Olá Amigos entusiastas do pulsojato!
Obrigado!

I know, I just don't understand why people post in different languages on an english forum??

It's actually Danish. We're all lucky that Kenneth Moller, who established it after some work on jet engines with a circle of his friends in Denmark, refrained from sticking to Danish. Otherwise, we'd probably be forced to gather around Bruce Simpson's website or on the margins of the DIY turbine website.

There's a sizeable part of the pulsejet community in Latin America and those people generally don't speak English. Surely there's no harm in them having their own corner.

At the last count, we've had forum members from the following non-English-speaking countries (in no particular order):

Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Sweden, Taiwan, China, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Iran, Argentina, Brasil, Peru, Dutch Antilles, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Nigeria and -- last but not least -- my own country, Croatia.

Yes, I counted them -- 30 different non-English-speaking countries. Pretty amazing, I think.

Hello- Not to mention other various third world areas such as Florida and Northern New Jersey.....

Can anyone provide a translation. What I get out of it is this fellow has valves in his Margarita. The family lost the use of Portugese after the ships were burned some time ago. Seriously, we provided the wood the library in Lisbon is finished in.

I'm surprised there are not more posts here in some language unintelligable to most of us. Glad the baseline language is English.

Regards, Hank

OT
I'm getting tired of this

latinamericans (spanish people too, btw) seem to think that everyone should underestand what they say despite it's an english forum.

ok, so they can't write in english, then use a translator! (but then, they should write without spelling mistakes (almost impossible today, specially if they're 18 years or less, educations sucks nowadays))

so then i start thinking you get a bad picture of us, so i think it would be a good idea to ask them to use a translator and write correctly, to "organize" the forum a little bit

Hello- Thank you for the translation, Ben.

Al- You need to use spring steel ~.006" for the smaller ducts with increasing thickness for larger ones.

Then there is the other side of the coin....People who become so provincial that all that occurs external to their small sphere of existense is alien. Add to that an influx of foreign peoples who are out to screw you and you have a recipe for a disaster.

Regards Hank

Ok! Ben

Obrigado!
