"Pulsejet Heater" plans on ebay

Post by Eric » Fri Dec 24, 2004 3:06 am

Dont know if anyone has noticed these plans up on ebay. I cant tell if it is valved or valveless, but it looks like it has lots of little parts and something that resembles a valve assembly. It looks like it would make a really bad heater since most of the gas is getting spat right back outside.

Has anyone ever found out more about that company that uses valveless engines for home heating systems? I would love to know if they reduced the noise of the engine some how or just marketed them to deaf people.

Although the noise may be acceptable if it can heat my shop from 20 below freezing to a nice 70 or so in about 30 seconds.

Talking like a pirate does not qualify as experience, this should be common sense, as pirates have little real life experience in anything other than smelling bad, and contracting venereal diseases

Hello, the Lennox pulse furnace has a valveless pulsejet engine in it & it uses a elaborate muffler system, the entire furnace is very heavy, because of all the muffler components,& the pulsejet in it,is cast iron&steel,Its a neet thing, but very heavy!

Hi All,

I think its valved. Do a Google image search for 'Lennox Pulse Furnace'. Lots of good photos, some of which are of the 'Air Flapper & Gasket' which is sold as a service part. It looks very like a simple pulse jet valve a'la the type seen in model airplanes.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hello, I picked up two old Lennox pulse furnaces, yes your right on it having a valve head,my bad" its almost like a lock wood with a valve? Kinda a hibrid perhaps? Im going to set it up independent from the furnace&do some testing & experiments on this thing.
