I dunner stand any of this "pressure" or "propane" or "resonance" sturf.

All I want to know is why its possible to attach a mechanical drive to
a Wren 44/54 "genuine" turbine engin, but not to a PJ?

Maybe I'm missing something but it would seem to be a very much cheaper
way of powering (e.g.) model helicopters, turbofans or turboprops without
all that expensive compression palava.

Am I being dense here? somebody please tell me, and a kind look would be
nice :arrow:

Turbines have a constant power output, pulse-jets do not. Pulse-jets are very sensitive to "stuff" in or around the intake or exhaust since they rely on acoustical properties. if a pulse-jet misses a beat then that usually kills the engine. Turbines are much more reliant when it comes to loads. All that said, some progress has been made with using turbines on pulse-jet exhausts. There are one or 2 topics around with build logs and video's.
