turbo, pulse, turbofan and ram jet sim from nasa...

Post by Arcan3 » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:59 am

It's a free download but the browser crashed so im posting it up here because i don't have the address...

It even lets you imput the number of stages (number of high andlow power compresors and tubines)...

- Medium learning curve
- Big engines only but it u can scale down the size...
- You can even modify the Combustor...

Hope this helps anyone... and hope its not a repost... :D

Hi Mike

Could you possibly post a copy of this thread as a sticky over in the wacky and none wacky turbine forums as its a nice little browser tool and will probably help out a few people with their turbine comprehension, it gives a very clear introduction to the relationship and connection for the parts and allows you to play with some of the parameters.

Runs stand alone in Java so make sure you have Java installed and updated to the current version, works fine for Macs and Safari, unzip and double click the file EngineSim.html
