Wow! What a place. I could camp there for a couple of weeks. I wet my pants on the Beriev amphibious flying boat. Spruce up its interior to make it livable... Wouldn't it make the most fantastic rich man's flying yacht ever?

The helicopters were less pleasant. One of those was pursuing me not so long ago in the Kupa river valley. It was armored against anything we could throw at it, and it had absolutely awesome firepower. The only really helpful trick was not to be noticed by its gunner in the first place. I still dream about the wappa-wappa-wappa sound of its rotor at times...

Yes. I admire it in a detached kind of way, but won't ever really like it. How can you get to like a machine that has tried to kill you?
