Hi everybody!
Would it be possible to make a Shchelkin spiral? After some reading about PDE's it is clear to me that you must have such a device to built a liquid fueled air breathing PDE. ...and most of us here like building...
who knows more about it and would it be possible? This is what I found so far:

This is the ripple in the wall of a 12.5mm thick steel tube as a PDE fires!
It is exagerated a bit for clarity but it is accurate, this ripple is caused by the combustion pressure wave.
So before you start thinking about building a PDE start thinking about the engineering involved:-)
Its a bit higher duty than sheet steel pulse jets thats for sure:-)
