Can my propane tank explode? Do I need flash back arrestors?

Flashback arrestors are a good idea for ACETYLENE tanks because acetylene can explode BY ITSELF as it is an explosive. THAT'S IT.

Propane, butane, hydrogen, methane etc MUST HAVE AIR PRESENT TO BURN/EXPLODE. There is no air inside commercially filled gas cylinders. The filling process purges them and air cannot flow into them.

If someone is telling you different they a need an education.

There are thousands of pictures and clips on the net of Hot air Balloon burners all running on direct feed from propane tanks. IT IS OK.

Yea in the next update of my website im going to make a big section on all kinds of misconceptions, cause i end up answering way too many emails a week based on "wont the tank explode"
