5¢, 30¢, and a $

Post by WebPilot » Sat Mar 20, 2010 2:32 am

I just bought some programming reference books from on-line last night for some ridiculously low prices.

Granted I had to pay shipping and handling, but 4 books (some 350 pages long) for a grand total of $16.00? That's flea market pricing.

... needless to say, shop around. You may find a great deal.

I rarely use my printer any more. If I do need something, I take it to my local library; 25¢ for regular paper and 35¢ for a photo paper. It's not cheap but public libraries these days need the business.

That's why it sometimes is cheaper to buy a used book, especially if it's an art book or one that predominantly has 'pictures' in it.

... and sometimes for just a bit more money than a cartridge, buy a new printer.

One of the four arrived Friday. It's in great shape. It even had the latest revision's supplement.

The second of four arrived today, Monday. It's in very good shape save for a small dent at the top of the front cover. It still has its cardboard command reference sheet attached.

This book order was well worth the price of a little more than the cost shipping.
