“We're planning on redesigning the bus stop in a 1960s look.”

Sabine Grünwald of the Mühlenau retirement home in Hamburg, Germany, ponders how to improve the fake bus stop they installed outside the facility last year. Patients with dementia who wander off tend to collect at the stop, where they can be collected by staff. A bus never actually comes.

What great meat for a book or film. Ha. Something like:

On a day when there is a particularly large gathering at the fake bus stop, a newly hired tour guide driver takes a wrong turn and picks up all these "odd tourists" and they go for a merry ride around historic Hamburg. They also vote on the fly for various side trips, etc. If you did it right, it would almost be good enough for a 13-week summer replacement TV series. Ha.

Remember, you saw it here first ;-)

Sounds a bit like Lars von Trier's "The Idiots"

Well, perhaps it looks like some of these characters might have gravitated toward a bus stop. ha

Not satire or irony, but a 'must read' that was a little link on that last page mentioned above -- an MD explains when and how to use a fountain pen:

On the other end of the spectrum, I always liked the way my birth certificate was filled out. It too looks like a fountain pen was used, and the handwriting kind of stylized. The letter A in Arrington is a bit swirly/fanciful, occupation of father... Captain USAF, County of Cambridgeshire, R.A.F. Lakenheath, just a lot of zip to it, the whole document is printed in soft red ink on a cream paper and the penmanship black ink, it looks a little like heraldry. ha
The other day my sister was applying for a government clearance for her CPA job and she/the government needed some info of siblings/my FS-240, (department of state foreign service birth certificate) who were born overseas. Talk about a hack job for a "Report of Birth", a perfectly sterile long form with typed in answers or fill in the blanks form on cheapy onion skin carbon copy paper you can see right through/read both sides at the same time. ha
Night and day for a presentation.

"The only true squirrel is the Red Squirrel; I hope for your sake that you are not worshipping the evil Grey Squirrels!" (a response to the article What If).
