"Still, U.S. media pricked up their ears at the news, inviting Canadian legal experts to explain the issue, a rather foreign concept to the American mind. The very notion is almost shocking: You can ban lying in the news?!"

"Asbestos is the greatest industrial killer the world has ever known. More people die from asbestos than all industrial causes combined, yet Canada continues to be one of the largest producers and exporters in the world. We are exporting human misery on a monumental scale," said NDP MP Pat Martin. "Our position is morally and ethically reprehensible."

"To understand how something can come out of nothing, he writes, you have to appreciate the fact that "there probably isn't anything here anyway" -- that "at a deep level there is nothing" in the universe, really. "The substrate of existence," he argues, "is nothing at all."

I remember reading a sign in a remote area of Nevada or Arizona perhaps, warning that if you even see clouds to leave this area immediately because of the danger of flash flooding. Sadly, these people needed to move just a little bit faster.

I remember once thinking if it would be possible to get/train a mimic to imitate a pulsejet shape, just out of curiosity. I saw this cartoon poster and it reminded me of that - just a little hyperbole.

Perhaps a bit dated but I liked the ending, when asked to make a list of what God is. Strange end game to wonder about.
