Dale Kirn - a great builder and flyer that I never heard of before running across this site. Looks like he has been building and flying from the early 1940s right into the new century! Here's the home page, with several links to interesting stuff:

For the excellent information and photos of Dale Kirn.
I watched Dale fly a Stanzel Monoline "Skyraider" on a 150 foot X .032 in. line(!!) near Fremont, Oh. He performed vertical eights and stayed well below the zenith, making his maneuvers true eights.
