I was thinking of trying/attempting this with a larger neodymium magnet that I have, I think a 2 inch X 2 inch it is. Truly a spark roulette effect. ha

Interesting design of the top of the high voltage generator, all those silver discs or round mushroom knob-looking things instead of the typical top. A bit dramatic in narration, but I imagine seeing that spark discharge is exciting.

I liked this guy's video, at any moment I thought he would be saying " We will be landing soon and the temperature outside is ... a lilt somewhat like some airline pilots. ha
Interesting use of that thin polycarbonate plastic tubing which is used to jacket fluorescent bulbs used in restaurants overhanging foods in case of breakage and other applications I suppose. I bought two diameters of the stuff thinking I would make little leyden jars out of it with aluminum foil but then I got distracted.

"Discharge wand was a cabinet knob with a small brass rod screwed into the threaded hole to keep the knob pointed forward. Ground wire clips to back of rod. The tube itself is one of those cheap clear plastic tubes that fit over a fluorescent bulb. The problem is that static electricity is very persnickity. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Could be variations in humidity. The tube tends to build up a charge like a capacitor. Try different knobs, distances from tube to terminal, etc."

A quirky presentation but some overlap I'm sure for the pulsejet realm. How about that turbulent flow equation around the 4 minute mark. ha

Just some basics but kind of a Reynst-like application I suppose.

Might be fun to fiddle with some homemade-like device for some experiments.

Looks like a glass tube and silk and 26 strokes if he didn't do more before starting the clip. "I don't think there's much charge here at all. Now let's see if we feel anything." ha
