A sad day for reptiles...

Post by El-Kablooey » Mon Sep 04, 2006 6:03 am

Steve Irwin died monday at 44 years of age. :( He was killed by a stingray while diving.

I can't believe that a stingray took him out after spending his life jumping on crocodile's backs and playing with venomous snakes. He will be missed, I know I love all his shows. It seems that he's started a legacy though, there are a handful of guys on Discovery channel now who try to imitate him. None of them are as fun to watch as he is though.

His death seems ironic, who would have guessed a stingray? It was sad to hear the news, and a sad way to die. I just heard they aren't sure if his heart was punctured.

As an Australian it is a sad for enviromentalists and Aussies everywhere. Steve wherever you go I hope you have as much fun in the next realm as you did in this one...keep up your larikin antics!
Your documentries and hard work to promote the ecology of your country was insperational, and of all things a damn stingray! He will be sadly missed, and your passionate words of "Crikey" will resound throughout australia for ever. You were the man steve, rest in piece. We will miss you.

-Aussies just have big happy hearts, unfortunately its not always for the best.

Ow, please don't break my joke with facts. It's fragile enough as it is.

I was snorkeling with a guy in Turkey and he stepped on a Urchin. He spent the next two week fighting blood poisoning....

Looks like a primitive arrow point. Cut out of bone. American Indians and Eskimos used the same for fishing and hunting wales! ? I wonder where we got the Idea??????

Family...he had at least 2 kids.

Both very very young...

On another point, researches (after examining the film) said he in no way provoked the ray.

I know someone who died when they cut their foot on some red colored coral...dunno what type it was. The sea hides many dangers
