I'm not using Rotax, the Austrian guy is.
I don't know what fuel he uses.
He would be happy with 36 hp I guess.

Your helicopter looks great, and your coaxial approach is very unique too, I like it, twin engine config, each drives one rotor in different direction. Just a quick question, how do you keep two engines in synch all the time to cancel out torque generated by each rotor.

re: Backpack helicopter
I think that's mainly a question of how you design the controls. There should be little need for an automatic sync, and being able to allow them to go out of sync is a fairly natural way of turning. As long as the controls are simple and intuitive, I see no big problem with it.
re: Backpack helicopter
Thanks,
The rotorhead in the picture is not complete, there must be two more bevel gears between the two on the rotors.
Both engines will drive the lower rotor and the gears will change direction of rotation for the upper rotor.
The co-axial GEN Japanese helicopter uses different rotor RPM to control yaw.

"I cant find it" doesn't mean the same as "there is no such group".

Yahoo tells me there is no such group on Yahoo Groups. Yet, you claim it does exist.
I am a member of several groups on Yahoo and all of them are very easy to find. So, what am I supposed to think?
Are you hiding this group from the public so that people cannot join, or what? What is the purpose of a discussion group if people cannot find it?

yahoo groups uk-ireland
go to hobbies and crafts
search for :strap-on_helicopter
No need to be arrogant or angry.

Look, Cita, maybe I would not have been if you had made the effort to be helpful.Cita wrote:No need to be arrogant or angry.
Was this supposed to be helpful? It made me feel very stupid. I was trying to understand why you said that, but failed.Cita wrote:"I cant find it" doesn't mean the same as "there is no such group"

re: Backpack helicopter
Hey.
I was tempted not to comment on this Cita! Were a close nit community here, and will stand up for our members! Be warned.
I am however, very interested in these things, as well as unpowered rotor craft, for jet adaption! So here it is.
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/strap-on_helicopter/
It WAS hard to find Cita!
From here at least (Australia), "UK&Ireland Yahoo" is very clunky and hard to search. Any combination word searches turned up "page not found", although it didnt take too long to search through the list of "helicopters" search results.
I also didnt know that my "Yahoo groups" didnt search world wide group listings?
I hope im not offending you by posting a link here? I cant understand why you didnt in the first place, although you did make common knowledge of where it is, so i dont think that it matters.

Rossco,
I'm not offended in any way, thanks for posting the link!
I also didn't know that yahoo didn't search world wide groups or that yahoo uk was clunky to search.
I would have posted a direct link ....if I knew how to do it!
I appreciate the fact that you come up for your members, however "there is no such group" and "yet you claim there is" is very close to be called a liar.
I have no problem whatsoever to addmit that I dont even know how to post a link,I'm as computer dumb as anyone can be but that doesn't make me a liar.
Being a long time member as, Mr.Ogorolec, doesn't give him the right to make stupid statements, regardless his education or the input he gave on this forum.

I am at fault because you did not take the trouble to provide the necessary information. Nice.Cita wrote:Being a long time member as, Mr.Ogorolec, doesn't give him the right to make stupid statements, regardless his education or the input he gave on this forum.
Also, you are being offensive towards me for some reason. I am 'arrogant', you say, and I am making 'stupid statements'. Nicer still.
You didn't even take the trouble to spell my name correctly. Maybe it's stupid and arrogant of me, but I like my name. It feels good when people get it right.Cita wrote:Mr.Ogorolec
May I suggest writing as a very good method? It works for other members of the forum.Cita wrote:I would have posted a direct link ....if I knew how to do it!
re: Backpack helicopter
Excuse me for spelling your name incorrect Mr. Ogorelec.
I did not know how difficult it was to search for the group but instead of bluntly saying that "there is no such group" or "yet you claim..." you simply could have said that you could not find it,you could even blame me for being so stupid not to post the proper information.
You made me look like a liar Mr. Ogorelec and I dont have to take that from nobody, not even from you !
I'm sorry that my request to join a group has caused problems for those who tried to join and I certainly dont want this to end in a flaming war.
As you, rightly so, expect and find it important that your name is spelled correctly,I find it important not to be called a liar or insinuations made in that direction.

Jesus.
Cita, Calm down. He never said he thought you were a liar. Maybe expressing confusion over not being able to find something that should be there, but he never actually accused you of lying, nor did I think make you out to look like you were.
Everyone, calm down, make up, and when that's done, I'll restore the thread, minus this lot.
