Hey, that's cool. There is no shame in losing to an experienced shooter. I just found the "American" stereotype kind of offensive, being a pretty experienced shotgunner myself.
On an endless quest in search of a better way.

Heyyy .... No problem mate ... he he he.

No ... Serious, I have no intension to brag about this, but when you talked about Skeet shooting, you really got into my ground, my flame and my passion. When I was born, I beleive the doctors found some 12 gauge round tied-up with my ombelical and since my young age, I always had a serious attraction to guns ... To my father's dispairs.

As for shooting ducks in the water, this practice aplies to the first duck touching the water and when the its wings are still opened. Next to that, shooting a duck sitting in water can be a tricky thing, knowing these wings also works as solid shields when closed, especially diver ducks like "Blue Bills, scooters, Golden eyes and Eider ducks.

Heyy ... Maybe one day we will have the pleasure to shoot together.

Cya mate,

Luc

What gauge shell are you using for your duck soup and have you ever bitten into a piece of buckshot? Does Canada require the use of some other shot other than lead like the U.S.?

Any of you guys interested in handguns?

Look at what the FBI just ordered for its agents. Quite a coup for a company that's only been around for about a dozen years, eh?

Mark: no lead shot mate its all steel and I think has been for a long time in Canada.

Bruno: I have never really been in to hand guns myself but I understand other people like them, for me they are just not an accurate tool for the job.

bruno-

I'm not sure I like that design, it is interesting but has some quirks that I don't like. first of all DAO handguns usually have heavier trigger pulls which will negitively effect accuracy at anything past 30 ft, and make it more difficult to get a quick second shot. I think they would have been much better off with an HK USP 45 or a newly manufactured M1911, but then again I'm partial to the .45 ACP cartradge so my opinion is biased.

as for accurate handguns, has anyone used a thompson center or a remmington XP-100?

Can't pretend to know anything about pistols myself, but that review certainly sounds glowing -- and the FBI did pick it as official equipment, so I guess the guys must be doing something right. The factory is a half an hour's drive from my place.

I've only ever handled rifles. My favorite is the old bolt action Mauser. Damn, but I like that rifle. Used to be a crack shot with it, but that was a looooooong time ago. Today, it would probably leave a blue bruise on my shoulder. Not to mention that my eyesight leaves much to be desired these days.
