05 International PJ Meet photos
Edit:
And now, the trailer for the Pulsejet 505 DVD on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x-9MFEpl3U
Here's a taster, Chris and Ben firing up, ha ha, the big Locky.
And the star of the show, a surreal photo of Ed Knessl's 66mm dia Chinese shooting sparks in it's first run, started by "prince of combustion" Mikhail Jones (nanosoft). Tipped the scales later on at 5.6 lb max thrust. Yowza! No mice blowing through straws on either Ed's or Mikhail's (4.5 lb. max)Chinese engines.

Heh, Fire! I love me some Fire.
Are you mailing the CDs, or do you want to attempt to zip and upload? Mail is probably better...
And Mike, thanks again for putting the meet together. I've been inspired and I think it's time to get a Henrob.
Wish we could have done the uFlow talk...

I'll send the CD's, I've got it on two computers now. You'd think that four days is enough time for 13 people to do it all, but it was early till late every day, and always with the feeling that we were running out of time! Man, was that a busy weekend.resosys wrote:Heh, Fire! I love me some Fire.

Rossco built an internal intake engine and a true Reynst from scratch, and I did a one-step-larger similar to my pocky locky. Dave's hairdryer Logan ran well after alterations.
The most impressive thing was Rossco's nipped tube injector. It made even the pocky locky an airless starter! Phenominal!

Can people who weren't there get a CD?
And if so, how much ($)?

I just watched the edited version of the DVD of "Pulsejet 505". Oh man, I don't know what to say. It's so great, my cheeks hurt. I hope everyone gets to watch it!
For now, you've GOT to download the pulsejet symphony Chris Andersen created from engine sounds from the meet, and has on his site! It's phenominal. I swear it will make you laugh. Great interview with Bruno to start it up. more than 10megs, but worth every minute.

Ha ha LOL, check it out!

Check out the photos.. Just awesome stuff all coming together in one place.Chris Brick wrote:I stuck a quick selection of the better images up. The site needs some copy written and more images added, but it's a start.

We'll be able to make individual pages for each of the engines we have data for as well as host audio and video files. It should turn into a pretty nice little slice of pulsejet heaven with a little input and some data and files from everyone.

Also, there are some more clips at

re: 05 International PJ Meet photos
Is there any chance we could get those videos in a diferent format? I just spent half an hour screwing around with that god-awful quicktime crap with nothing to show for my efforts. the videos still won't play correctly, and I am getting exponentially more anoyed every time I try to fix the problem.
mac, apple, or anything with an "i" in front of it is EVIL!!!

I got them to play but no sound. : (
I have the player sound all the way up, and my computer sound level all the way up. I didn't see any mute buttons that may be causing this on the first few silent movies. I got the Dave and Mike with sound firing it up.
Hmmm....

I've been saying that for years. But, Steve, watch it, there's quite a few Apple munchers in this forum and they will get you for this.
In my opinion (and I have worked on Mac as well as on PCs) a Mac is only really good if you're a graphic designer or in a printing trade or something like that.

I've got XP. My .mov plugin works fine. I don't have a converter, but I'll look for one.

There are more photos on their way and I'll post here when updates are made to the site.
Enjoy!

Awesome, Chris! It looks great! In the root of the directory I uploaded are sound files for a few engines, and some mpg videos of most of them running.
