Nanosoft-
I would re-take the picture while standing on a step ladder or a crate so that you are looking down at the engine rather then across from it. The trees in the background are very distracting wheras dark asphalt would constrast nicely with your glowing engine. Dark backgrounds always look good with glowing pulsejets. Case in point: (see blelow photo)
If possible, a night shot would look spectacular too!

Re: Something That Might Sell
I was planning on getting a better picture but that was in my collection and I didn't want to go set it up and then start it and take a picture at the moment. I was thinking of taking a picture at a angle above the jet when it is just starting to get dark so the looks like it glowing even more.

All right, Mike here's what you have called the "shotgun poster" - all I added to the image itself is the URLs at the lower left. Which way would you want it - the standalone ad shot [left] or with the vertical sidebar that makes it part of the 'Year of the Valveless' series [right]?Mike Kirney wrote:Those look great, Larry. Selling those small posters one a time would be rather difficult I think. Throw in the "What every man wants..." one and sell them 3 for $17 or maybe $20 on E-Bay. I think they would move pretty quick like that. I would buy a deal like that. Christmas is coming so you want to get them out on the market PDQ. Good luck!

I like the sidebar.Larry Cottrill wrote: All right, Mike here's what you have called the "shotgun poster" - all I added to the image itself is the URLs at the lower left. But I'd be tempted to change the main image text so something from 'Reservoir Dogs'. "Let's Go To Work" sprang instantly to mind.
Either that or 'Build this pulsejet, or you'll be getting a visit from the Cottril Cyclodyne Corporation'. You look very mafioso in that photo...

Or: "...I don't have to compensate for ANYTHING."
I like the sidebar one, very cool.

Yes, the sidebar one please. Are you gonna do the 3-pack? I want a 3-pack please. I like Tufty's suggestion - "Let's Go To Work" is a great phrase ot emblazon your image with, Larry. It sounds tough, but not stupid. So where do I send my money? How much is shipping via USPS Air Mail to Canadian zip K0J 2J0? I will use Bidpay if you like but I much prefer Paypal. Please don't make me send a postal money order because your banks down there are not fond of them at all. Only 25 more shopping days till Christmas!!!

Re: Something That Might Sell
I'd like either 'Let's go to work" or "Let's make some noise" as the only text on the picture. Everything else is for the sidebar. Count me in, if I manage to persuade PayPal to recognize my country. Until it does, I cannot make PayPal payments.
Re: Something That Might Sell
How about: "My other pulsejet is a Schmidt."

Ha ha, that's a good one. Or for the bumper sticker: "My kid's flame and noise made your honor student wet his pants"

Awesome! Larry gone italic ...ha!
I like "Let's make some noise..." most.
The sidebar should be applying and the "text stuff" (despite "Let's...") should be moved to the sidebar then, as others already wrote.

Larry, perhaps you could have an inset colour picture of the Elektra running red hot.

Re: Something That Might Sell
That's a good idea. I mean Larry's a fiery guy, but... I don't think you could make the poster too busy. Hell, put 2 pics of it running in opposite corners.
