I was watching a show on sea snakes last night and this particular sea snake being of terrestrial origin can't lay it's eggs in water. So it lays them in this underwater cave. The neat thing about the cave was that a fog or cloud was generated when the waves created high and then low pressure variations. It reminded me of this plastic bottle demonstration.

There were better shots of the mist effect in the actual show.

Around the 3:47 mark it looks like a brief clockwise circular motion is occurring instead of the typical jam jar torus, and at the neck,
the outflow flame segregating to the right.

Kind of a Logan look to it. Not wild about breathing smoke though, but interesting for a home-built and for the fact that it looks like a "working" pulsejet rather than recreational.

Might be exciting to try a jam jar jet at 2.5 atmospheres.

I liked the inventive airing out method and the young teamwork and simple design using rocks in the second clip.

I wonder if you could start a Dyna-jet by angling the tail up say 30 degrees so that the fuel level in a clear/transparent fuel line could be carefully walked right up to the metering jet ready to go without entering or dribbling into the combustion chamber. Then with the combustion chamber filled with cotton and pure O2 fire the spark plug or perhaps try a tail end Bic lighter start where the initial whoosh and subsequent vacuum causes fuel to be drawn in the intake? If that didn't work perhaps fire the spark plug igniting the cotton/oxygen mix creating an impulse or bang start by corking the tailpipe to build up even more pressure, thus even more vacuum to draw in fuel. Cotton starting probably won't appeal or become popular though, but you could be the first on your block maybe.
On the other hand, things like sparkler starting seems so yesterday when you could be using cotton.
